Update: Nike has officially launched the next-gen Nike Phantom 6, the successor to the Phantom GX/Luna 2 boots, featuring numerous improvements in both technology and design. It will be available on Thursday, 12 June.
The boots will officially be named Nike Phantom 6, not Phantom 360 as we previously revealed. Phantom 360 could possibly be the name of a lower-tier model.
The three main new technologies in the Nike Phantom 6 boots:
- Enhanced Gripknit: Optimized grip for improved dribbling control and more accurate finishing.
- Upgraded Cyclone 360 Plate: Redesigned Cyclone 360 stud system for sharper agility and support during quick turns.
- Refined Fit: A new anatomically structured sole for better comfort, fit, and overall performance.

The special-edition Nike Phantom 6 football boots have an outstanding look, reminding us of those of prototypes. They feature a silver main color combined with a light blue Gripknit upper. The Swoosh logo is metallic copper with small round dots.
One of the most notable features is the return of a Ghost lacing system. This covered lacing setup, providing a larger, cleaner striking zone, was previously seen on models like the Phantom Vision and Phantom GX. It seems Nike is revisiting this popular tech for enhanced ball control and a streamlined look.
Nike Phantom Luna 2 vs Nike Phantom 6
The Phantom 6 shoes will debut a completely redesigned soleplate. The stud configuration has been revamped, notably featuring two additional studs in the upper forefoot area. This suggests a focus on enhanced traction for acceleration and multi-directional movements. The soleplate itself boasts an impressive iridescent finish.
The upper of the Phantom 6 features a distinct horizontal ribbed texture. This embossed pattern is highly reminiscent of the popular upper found on the Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 and Superfly 5 from 2016-2017.
